Install the app
Moonjar is built for phones. The mobile app is where capture, chat, and your library live. There’s a watchOS companion too if you have an Apple Watch.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- An iPhone or iPad on a current iOS / iPadOS.
- Your Moonjar email — and the ability to receive a 6-digit code on it.
- Open the App Store on your phone.
- Search for Moonjar and install it. The bundle is
io.moonjar.app. - Open the app. On the welcome screen, tap Sign in if you already have an account, or Sign up if you don’t — see Sign up for the full flow.
- Enter your email and tap Send code. Moonjar emails a 6-digit code that expires in 10 minutes.
- Enter the code in the app. You’re in.
After you sign in
Section titled “After you sign in”The app remembers you on this device — you won’t need to sign in again unless you sign out or reinstall. If you have an Apple Watch, the watchOS companion pairs to the same Moonjar account.
The first time you launch the app, Moonjar asks for the permissions it needs as you use the relevant features — camera (for scans and photos), microphone (for voice capture and chat), photo library (for saving generated images), location (for map and chat tools), and notifications. Each is asked separately and only when first needed.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Can’t find Moonjar in the App Store. Make sure you’re searching the App Store on your iPhone or iPad rather than the iTunes store on a desktop, and that you’re signed in to one of the App Store countries Moonjar is available in at launch — Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, or New Zealand. Other regions are on the roadmap.
