Your first capture
The fastest way to get a feel for Moonjar is to save something — a thought, a quote, a link you have open right now. The Capture tab handles all of it.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Moonjar app installed and signed in. See Install the app.
- Open Moonjar.
- Tap the Capture tab in the bottom bar.
- Pick what you’re capturing using the mode tabs at the top of the
screen:
- Note — for typed text.
- URL — for a link.
- Image — for a photo from your library or fresh from the camera.
- Scan — for a multi-page document scan with edge detection.
- File — for a PDF or other document on your phone.
- Type, paste, or pick the content. (Optional) add a title.
- Tap Save.
What happens after
Section titled “What happens after”Moonjar reads what you sent it, classifies it as one of 15 document types, and pulls out the structured fields that matter for that type — vendor and total for a receipt, dates and parties for a travel document, and so on. The document then lives under Documents and is searchable from the moment it’s saved.
If Moonjar thinks the new capture is a duplicate of something you already have, it asks before saving a second copy.
